Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID)

About AVID

The Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program is an Australian Government initiative. ABV’s AVID assignments are developed by ABV working in consortium with Scope Global and Australian Volunteers International – delivery partners for the AVID program.

For more information on AVID please refer to the AVID website.

Please note:

The contract for the delivery of the new Australian Volunteers program was signed on 14 July 2017 between DFAT and AVI, in consortium with Cardno and The Whitelum Group. This new program will replace the Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) program, which will continue until 31 December 2017. Extensive planning has taken place to ensure a smooth transition from AVID to the new Australian Volunteers program by January 2018. Further information can be found on the DFAT website.
