ABV is pleased to announce the signing of a new multi-year institutional strengthening partnership with Papua New Guinea’s Department of Finance. ABV CEO Sarah O’Connor met with the secretary of the department on Friday last week to finalise a 3 year agreement for services.

The overall goal of the partnership is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the department to deliver enhanced public finance management across the public sector in Papua New Guinea. In the initial phase of the partnership the agreement envisions assignments in a variety of areas from communications, to payments systems, and outsourcing.

This agreement follows on from ABV”s successful and ongoing institutional strengthening partnership with the Bank of Papua New Guinea. Strong economic institutions are absolutely key to ABV’s goal of building sustainable and inclusive private sectors.
