Vietnam has achieved remarkable economic success since the doi moi (renovation) process which commenced in 1986, and especially over the last decade. Per capita GDP has doubled and poverty levels have halved. Nevertheless, about one third of the population is still classified as poor by international measures.
Each assignment delivered in Vietnam addresses one or more of the following objectives:
1. Growth and development of the private sector by assisting selected local businesses to grow and prosper.
2. Technical and vocational education training programs at selected institutions.
3. Improve the management and financial wellbeing of selected institutions providing care to people with disabilities.
