How We Deliver 2

ABV’s traditional service delivery is to dispatch a single Volunteer to undertake a single short-term assignment with a particular client. However, our assistance can sometimes be more effective if we send our clients several different Volunteers, with different skills, over a longer period of time. In this way we can provide skills development and mentoring in several areas of the client’s organisation or business.

For example, a small business that is growing may need advice on strategic or business planning to ensure that they are heading in the right direction. We can provide Volunteer strategic planners or management consultants for this purpose. They may then need advice on financial management from an accountant. Should they need to upgrade their financial systems e.g. computerising their accounts, we can provide a Volunteer who is an experienced book-keeper. The client may then need to consider employing staff with specialised skills, or training existing staff in new skills – a human resources advisor would be useful here. To ensure that the client’s product or service has a realistic market they may then require advice from a Volunteer who is experienced in sales and marketing.
