There is no such thing as a typical volunteer. However, all ABV volunteer experts are highly skilled and have extensive experience in their particular field of endeavour. Most importantly, all volunteer experts possess the ability to train others and possess certain core competencies, which inlude:

• Facilitation, coaching, mentoring
• Managing activities including difficult situations and reporting
• Adaptability
• Managing time
• Rapport building

ABV volunteer experts are skilled professionals, business and trades people wth the desire to make a difference and willingness to share their knowledge freely. Each volunteer expert has a minimum of 5 to 10 years professional experience.
